Clinics & Services

Acute Assessment Unit

Our reception team may ask for an indication of the problem if a patient asks to be seen urgently. This is to ensure that the patient can be directed to the best service, which may not always be a doctor or nurse practitioner appointment. Appointments in the Acute Unit should only be used for urgent concerns and to discuss one issue. If the problem is not an urgent one, a routine appointment should be made.

Nurse Practitioner Services

Park Surgery has an Acute Assessment Unit staffed by a nurse practitioner and doctor.

Appointments can be booked with the nurse practitioner in the Acute Assessment Unit on a same day basis via the surgery appointment system. Home visits where appropriate may also be arranged via the practice co-ordinator.

For further information on the services provided by the nurse practitioner at park surgery, please see the leaflet available at reception.

  • Family Planning
  • Diabetic monitoring
